The second annual Pawasee Dog Parade is set to take place on Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to noon at Oakwood Resort, located at 702 E. Lake View Road in Syracuse.
Dog owners and their furry friends are invited to join the fun-filled event, which promises a morning of laughter, creativity, and community spirit.
The parade will travel along a quarter-mile route through the scenic grounds of Oakwood Resort. Participants are encouraged to get imaginative by decorating carts, wagons, strollers, and leashes. Dressing up with your dogs is highly encouraged to add to the festive atmosphere.
Several awards will be given out during the event, including Best Dressed Dog, Best Dog Trick, and Best Tail Wag, among other playful categories.
This year’s parade is hosted by Chautauqua-Wawasee, New Hope Pet Rescue, Special O.P.S. K-9 Academy, Syracuse-Wawasee Trails, and Oakwood Resort. Although the event is free, attendees are encouraged to donate $15 to support New Hope Pet Rescue and its mission to save local animals.
