Kennewick is set to welcome its first public dog park this summer with the grand opening of Columbia Park Dog Park on June 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The new park will be located at the east end of Columbia Park, between the Family Fishing Pond and Lampson Pits parking lot.
This addition makes it the second public dog park in the Tri-Cities area, joining Richland’s Paws-abilities Place at Badger Mountain Community Park, about a 15-minute drive west. The new park offers local pet owners a convenient space for their dogs to run and play freely.
