A recently adopted pit bull named Sasha is missing after escaping just moments after finding her new home.
Sasha, a small 40-pound black-and-white pit bull, had been adopted from the Ocean County Animal Facility on May 28, 2025. While being loaded into her new owner’s car, she became scared and ran off. She was last seen near South Hope Chapel Road in Jackson Township, New Jersey.
She has a white belly and paws and was wearing a pink checkerboard collar at the time she went missing. Sasha is also microchipped and registered.
Her new family describes her as very sweet but easily frightened. They are asking the public not to chase her if seen, as she may run. Instead, they urge anyone who spots Sasha to call local animal control or the facility immediately.
