City leaders gathered today to celebrate the official opening of Aledo’s first-ever dog park with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Named P’s Pooch Park, the facility is also known as the Aledo Bark Park and offers a welcoming space for canine companions of all sizes. The park features two separate sections—one for small dogs and one for large dogs—as well as water fountains, waste bag dispensers, and a shaded seating area for pet owners.
The park is the vision of Mark and Penny Bieri, who originally purchased the land for another purpose. Over time, their idea evolved into a dog park, and they generously donated the property to the city to make it a reality.
Dog owners can now visit the park at 102 SE 11th Ave in Aledo.
