Thor, a gentle Saint Bernard, has found his forever family after a touching second chance at adoption. His story, shared by the Wabash County Animal Shelter in Indiana, has captured the hearts of thousands online.
On May 19, the shelter posted about Thor’s adoption, celebrating his new beginning. The post showed Thor sitting proudly with his new family on adoption day and quickly received over 600 likes and many emotional comments.
“Wabash County Animal Shelter is a limited admittance shelter that gives animals a safe place, loving care, and a second chance,” she said. “Every animal here gets special attention, medical care, and the time they need to find the right home.”
Thor was first found wandering near a busy highway without any tags or a microchip. Despite efforts on social media and in the community, no owner came forward. This saddened the shelter staff but led to Thor’s new journey.
Thanks to his patience and gentle nature, Thor’s story is now inspiring many and reminding people of the importance of rescue and adoption.
