Wednesday, May 28, marked a heartfelt goodbye for influencer Alix Earle and her boyfriend, NFL wide receiver Braxton Berrios, as they parted ways with their beloved foster dog, True. After two months of fostering, the couple joyfully announced that True has finally found his forever home in Tennessee.
Earle and Berrios began fostering True after discovering he had spent over a year in a Miami shelter, where he was at risk of being euthanized. The couple quickly bonded with the dog and made it their mission to find him a perfect family. Their journey was shared with fans online, offering a glimpse into the ups and downs of fostering a rescue animal.
In a video shared on Instagram, Earle confirmed that PetSmart will sponsor True’s journey to Tennessee and provide a year’s worth of food for his new life.
“It’s bittersweet,” Earle said. “We’re going to miss him so much, but we’re so happy he gets the life he deserves.”
