Police are asking for witnesses after a dog was attacked by another dog in Westcott on Sunday afternoon, May 25th.
The dog, a Bichon Frise, died from injuries it suffered in the attack.
The incident happened around 1 p.m. on Westcott Street. The Bichon Frise’s owners were out walking when they saw three dogs and a child.
Two of the dogs were loose. The third dog was on an extendable lead but was not wearing a muzzle.
The dog on the lead, described as looking like an XL Bully, attacked the Bichon Frise and bit it in the stomach.
The injured dog was taken to an emergency vet but later died from its injuries.
Police are continuing their investigation. They want to speak with anyone who saw the attack or who has information that could help find the owner of the attacking dog.
