A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the theft of a French bulldog named Julio, a case that captured widespread attention in Charlotte this past April.
According to court documents obtained by WBTV, 20-year-old Tahari Taylor now faces charges tied to Julio’s disappearance. The dog was inside a vehicle stolen from the Alta Croft apartments on April 6, triggering a determined effort to locate both the car and the pet.
Taylor was arrested after investigators discovered key evidence while reviewing his phone during an unrelated investigation. An affidavit revealed text messages between Taylor and Jamari Banks that allegedly reference both the stolen vehicle and Julio.
Taylor has been charged with felony possession of stolen goods. Despite the arrest, Julio has not yet been found.
Two others have already been arrested in connection with the case: Kendra Hunter and her 14-year-old son. Authorities continue to investigate the extent of their involvement.
