Wilmington police are investigating a burglary in which a 2-year-old French bulldog named Tooty was stolen from her home in the early hours of Friday morning.
The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. near N. West Street and E. Matson Run Parkway. Tooty’s owner, Jahmeir Snow, said no one was home at the time. He typically takes Tooty with him to work, but had left her home that day because she was in heat.
“Now that she’s gone, my mind is racing constantly,” Snow said. “Sometimes it’s even hard to focus on the road. I’m constantly reminded of her because she’s right there as my passenger.”
“I feel like someone kidnapped my child,” he added.
Police have not yet released any suspect information. However, video obtained shows a burglar leaving the home with Tooty in a cage in the middle of the night.
