One of the most rewarding moments of college graduation is walking across the stage to receive a degree. For Rollins College chemistry student Cecilia Hernandez, this milestone was even more special.
She walked alongside her service dog, Canela, who played a vital role in helping her succeed in the chemistry lab.
At the ceremony, Canela was also honored with a special patch recognizing her exceptional support throughout Cecilia’s studies. The touching moment was captured on video and featured a heartfelt speech by the school’s dean, highlighting the strong bond between Cecilia and Canela.
