United Petfood has officially earned a Guinness World Record for making the world’s largest dog biscuit. The massive treat weighs 515.6 kilograms (1,137 pounds) and measures nearly 6 meters long, almost 2 meters wide, and 4.5 centimeters thick.
The record-breaking biscuit was created at United Petfood’s Coevorden facility in the Netherlands and revealed during a special company event. Employees from all Dutch branches attended the celebration.
“At United Petfood, we constantly strive to push boundaries and embrace innovation,” said Ruben Bosman, general manager at the Coevorden site. “This record is a great example of what teamwork and passion can achieve. We’re proud of this accomplishment and everyone who made it happen.”
After the event, the biscuit was cut into smaller pieces. Employees were invited to take pieces home for their pets, and the rest was donated to local animal shelters.
To mark the achievement, United Petfood also launched a social media campaign. Pet owners are encouraged to share pictures of their dogs using the hashtags #UnitedPetfood and #BiggestDogBiscuit. On May 30, 20 lucky participants will be randomly selected to receive gift packages that include a piece of the giant biscuit.
