In response to growing safety concerns, the Goa government has initiated a statewide survey targeting aggressive dogs. Animal Husbandry Minister Nilkanth Halarnkar announced that officials are actively visiting villages to register dogs as part of the process.
Alongside the survey, the government has banned certain dog breeds from being kept as pets in the state.
Minister Halarnkar appealed to the public to cooperate fully with authorities to ensure the success of this initiative aimed at improving community safety.
