Duchess of York Claims Late Queen Elizabeth Communicates Through Her Corgis

by Lisa

Sarah, Duchess of York, has shared that she believes the late Queen Elizabeth II communicates with her through the monarch’s beloved corgis. Following the Queen’s death in 2022, the Duchess, alongside her ex-husband Prince Andrew, took in two of the Queen’s cherished dogs—Muick and Sandy—who now reside with the couple at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

In an interview at the Creative Women Platform in London, the Duchess revealed that she feels the Queen’s presence through the dogs’ behavior.

“I have her dogs, I have her corgis. Every morning they come in and go, ‘woof woof’ and all that and I’m sure it’s her talking to me,” she said, according to The Times. “I’m sure it’s her, reminding me she’s still around.”

This isn’t the first time the Duchess has spoken about the deep connection between the dogs and the late Queen. In 2023, she recalled how Muick, one of the corgis, had shown signs of mourning after the Queen’s passing. She mentioned that Muick took about a year to come to terms with the loss of the monarch.

Queen Elizabeth II had a special bond with corgis throughout her life, having owned more than 30 of them during her reign. The first corgi she received, named Susan, was a gift for her 18th birthday in 1944. Susan was so beloved that she even accompanied the young Princess Elizabeth on her honeymoon.
