The much-loved Dogstival is making a splashy return to the New Forest this summer, promising an unforgettable seaside experience exclusively for dogs.
Scheduled for Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1, Dogstival 2025 will transform Burley Park in Hampshire into a beachside haven for four-legged visitors. The festival will feature a sprawling sandy beach made with 15 tonnes of sand, lined with swaying palm trees and cooling pools, creating a holiday atmosphere where dogs are the true VIPs.
To add to the beach vibes, a vibrant Ibizan-style disco and a colossal doggy foam party will let pets party in style.
“Dogstival is all about putting dogs first,” said Richard Nowell, festival director. “Many dogs adore the beach, but from May 1, seasonal restrictions can put a damper on their fun. That’s why we’ve partnered with Away Resorts to bring a pop-up doggy beach resort to life, free from any such limitations.”
Beyond the beach, Dogstival offers a packed schedule of canine-centric activities. The Naturo Healthy Hound Kitchen will serve as a culinary playground where dogs can participate in sausage-making sessions, indulge in ‘doggy fine dining,’ and take part in the Bark Off baking challenge.
Creative pups can unleash their inner artists at the Paw Prints & Paintbrushes Art Studio, where peanut butter becomes a paintbrush and paws leave colourful prints on canvas.
For those seeking wellness and relaxation, a dedicated ‘Wellness Zone’ will host calming activities like dog yoga, known as ‘doga’. Meanwhile, an outdoor cinema will screen beloved dog-themed films for a more laid-back vibe.
Action-loving dogs can dive into two enormous splash pools, race through flyball, agility courses, scent trails, and lure racing challenges. High-energy pups will also love the ‘scurries’ and the thrilling ‘Barkour Adventure Playground’.
In the main arena, visitors can watch expert demonstrations from renowned dog behaviourists, while owners can enter their pets in the ever-popular Fun Dog Show, featuring a variety of entertaining classes.
Food is a major highlight, with local Hampshire and New Forest artisans serving up delicious fare for human attendees. Of course, canine guests won’t be left out, with a variety of treats and puppuccinos available throughout the event.
Dogstival 2025 takes place at Burley Park, Burley, Hampshire (BH24 4BS). Tickets are priced from £18 for adults and £10 for children aged 6-16, with free entry for children under five.
