The Victorville Planning Commission has unanimously approved the site plan for a large new pet treat manufacturing plant, marking a significant development for the High Desert region. The 231,500-square-foot facility, proposed by Victorville Real Estate Investment, LLC, will be home to the American Jerky Company.
Specializing in freeze-dried dog treats made from human-grade ingredients — primarily chicken — the plant is designed to operate 24 hours a day, five days a week, and is expected to create up to 450 jobs for the local community.
American Jerky Company currently runs a similar facility in Ontario, California, where it has produced natural, high-quality pet treats for over ten years. The new Victorville location will expand the company’s production capacity to meet growing demand.
