Cannes 2025 has officially kicked off, and as expected, the red carpet was filled with glamour and glitz. Celebrities from around the world brought their fashion A-game to the prestigious event, but this year, an unlikely attendee stole the show.
Felicity the Samoyed: A Cannes Regular
Meet Felicity, a stunning Samoyed dog who has become a regular at the Cannes Film Festival. Dressed in a dazzling blue ball gown, she confidently strutted down the red carpet, charming onlookers and taking the internet by storm. Felicity made her debut in Cannes in 2023 and quickly became a beloved figure at the festival, known for her elegance and poised presence.
A clip of her latest appearance is circulating widely online, with fans showering her with admiration. One user commented, “This is the type of #cannes content I’m here for,” while another joked, “He’s not spotted, he’s blue. (Couldn’t resist the dad joke).” Another user simply asked, “Is this ‘Fabulous Felicity?’” The answer is yes, indeed!
Felicity’s Story of Resilience
Felicity’s rise to fame goes beyond her fashion sense. Her story is one of resilience and survival. According to Daily Mail, Felicity was rescued from the dog meat trade in China, where she had been subjected to unspeakable cruelty, including being strung up by her tail.
She was saved by No To Dog Meat, a UK-based charity dedicated to ending the dog meat trade. The charity’s founder, Julia de Cadenet, was moved to start the organization after witnessing the brutality of the trade firsthand. Now, Felicity lives with Julia in London and has become an ambassador for the charity’s mission to end such cruelty.
A Symbol of Hope and Glamour
Felicity’s involvement with No To Dog Meat has also brought global attention to the infamous Yulin Dog Meat Festival. The charity, which now holds United Nations Special Consultative status, continues its efforts to stop the trade.
Felicity first made her Cannes debut in 2023 at a screening of Project Silence, where she wore a custom gown designed by Michelle Parker, a dedicated volunteer at No To Dog Meat. This year, Felicity returned to the festival, complete with her own festival pass, access to VIP parties, and screenings. She is truly a star with a cause.
