Ronnie, a French Bulldog, is earning the title of the “unluckiest dog” at Animal Rescue Cumbria, as he waits for a forever home after a heartbreaking turn of events. Having joined the shelter at the start of the year, Ronnie was initially skinny and sad, but after receiving the care he needed, he made a remarkable recovery and blossomed into a healthy and cheeky dog.
Ronnie’s journey took a hopeful turn when he was adopted into a loving home, but due to unforeseen circumstances, he was sadly returned to the shelter. This setback has not dampened his spirits, as he continues to brighten the days of shelter staff with his playful personality. Despite watching 44 of his shelter friends find homes, Ronnie remains patient, awaiting his turn.
At approximately three years old, Ronnie is described as affectionate and loves snuggling on the couch. He enjoys walks and would be best suited to a home where he is the only pet. He has not been tested around cats and would do best in a home without young children. Additionally, he would benefit from a secure garden for exploration.
While Ronnie can show signs of resource guarding around food, shelter staff emphasize that this behavior can be easily managed. If you believe you can offer Ronnie the forever home he deserves, Animal Rescue Cumbria encourages interested adopters to fill out an adoption inquiry form.
