A golden retriever named Murph has captured hearts online after a video showed him refusing to let his owner stop petting him. The adorable clip has gone viral, gaining over 688,000 views on TikTok.
Murph lives in Michigan with Amber McClain, 45, her husband Ben, and their two children. According to McClain, Murph has always been attached to her since he was a puppy. “We always joke that he’s a ‘momma’s boy’ and a ‘Velcro dog‘,” she told.
Murph joined the family during the COVID-19 pandemic, which McClain believes may explain his constant need for attention. “He detests any technology that might steer someone’s attention away from petting him,” she said. “If I’m on my phone, he’ll nose it right out of my hand. And if I’m working on my laptop, he’ll sit on my lap to block the screen.”
The clip has charmed thousands of viewers, with many praising Murph’s expressive personality and devotion to his human.
