New Dog Shelter in Ashland County Celebrates Community Partnerships

by Lisa

A ribbon-cutting ceremony held on Monday afternoon marked a proud moment for the citizens of Ashland as they celebrated the opening of a new dog shelter. The event drew a large crowd, including various speakers, and provided an opportunity for attendees to tour the facility, which is set to begin accepting dogs the week following the Ashland County Fair.

Commissioner Denny Bittle addressed the gathering and introduced several key figures, including Diane Hammontree from Homeward Bound, HB President Ralph Tomassi, and the President of the Ashland County Community Foundation, Jim Cutright.
