The North Bay Fire and Emergency Services responded swiftly to a kitchen fire at 972 Main St W on Monday morning around 8:30 a.m. Fire crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the kitchen area.
According to North Bay Fire Chief Jason Whitely, firefighters launched an immediate interior fire attack and conducted a primary search of the home. The family dog was rescued promptly and received oxygen and aid from firefighters at the scene.
Neighbors praised the quick response, noting that the fire crews were able to extinguish the fire rapidly and save the owner’s pets.
